Diamante, one of the most important destinations on the West Coast of Calabria. This quiet and characteristic village is steeped in the tradition and customs of southern Italy. Surrounded by the clear, warm waters with sandy beaches and dramatic, rocky coast of the Mediterranean, swimming is enjoyed from April through October. Just outside of Diamante is the Mount Pollino National Park with its clear mountain streams, white water rafting, and historic medieval villages. Diamante, also known as "the city of art", is world renowned for its many painted murals that adorn the historic center, many of which are inspired by the yearly hot pepper festival that takes place in September. Our apartment rental is located in the heart of the old Diamante, from where a short walk in any direction will take you to swimming beaches, the marina and the village sea promenade, with boutiques, restaurants, bars, and the colorful weekly farmers' market.
